At the Wegmans Bakeshop, employees work to ensure the delicious baked goods our customers have come to know and love are available in our stores. As a Production Team Member in this manufacturing facility, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of functions- all crucial to the proper production of baked goods and timely delivery to our stores. From making fresh breads to elegant patisserie products, your contributions will be directly responsible for bringing baked goods to the shelves at Wegmans.

Product (What We Do)
Perform a variety of tasks including placing and removing items from ovens, packaging products, maintaining a consistent final product, properly icing and filling products, and ad hoc tasks as needed
Seek resources to educate self about all steps of the production/packaging/ shipping/sanitation process to grow and develop professionally
Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines and Simplification 5S procedures
Work environment: Will be required to spend the majority of time on his or her feet as work typically includes prolonged standing and walking in a fast-paced environment. Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling and bending. Specific work conditions including temperatures, equipment and other physical demands (including weight lifting requirements) will be determined based on the area of the Bakeshop where work is performed. May be exposed to various allergens and climate changes.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food manufacturing
Experience working in a Bakery Preferred Skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
Exhibit adaptability when faced with changes in the workplace, remaining positive, calm and focused when under pressure or when dealing with ambiguous situations
